Terms & Conditions
Payment: A 50%, non refundable deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your party. The remainder 50% will be due 14 days before the party. Please make cheques payable to “A wedding to talk about” (this is our sister company and account name) In the unfortunate event that you have to cancel your booking the deposit paid will be non-refundable. Any booking cancelled less than 14 days prior to the event will be liable for payment in full. In the unlikely event we must cancel due to illness or any other viable reason where we are at fault, an alternative date can be arranged or your deposit will be paid back in full.

Props and decorations: If you or the children damage the props the retail selling price will be incurred for us to replace them.

Our responsibilities : We will arrive at the venue approximately 2 hours before the party to set up all decorations. The company’s role within the event is to entertain the children fully and to ensure they have a memorable occasion. The children at the party will however, remain your responsibility. We will make sure children have been told how to play each game correctly and safely, however it is your responsibility that the children adhere to our instructions.

Your responsibilities:
1. You are responsible for booking and paying for the venue. We have a small list of recommended venues for you to contact should you need help with choosing. Please be aware, these parties do require a very large space for the adventures to work well, and we have found large gardens or community halls to work best. If you contact one of our recommended venues, please tell them your party is being organised by “A party to talk about” and they will know our time schedule for the day. Should you find your own venue or use a very large garden, then please make sure we have access to set up and decorate 2 hours in advance.
2. Once the party has ended and we have packed away our decorations and props, it will be your responsibility to hand the keys back to the proprietor and make sure the venue is clean and tidy. “A party to talk about” will not accept responsibility of the venue being left untidy, dirty, any breakages or being left un-manned at any point.
You must inform us of the number of children attending and their first names, a minimum of 7 days prior to the event in writing or by email.
3. You or another responsible adult will need to assist with any child wishing to use the cloakroom facilities, becoming distressed or unwell during the event.
4. Please note you are responsible for the children’s safety and conduct. “A party to talk about” requires at least 2 responsible adults to supervise the children. We are hired by you to entertain the children and not as child minders. We will not accept any aggressive behaviour towards our staff or children, or any disruptive behaviour towards the activities or our props by either any adult or any other child.
5. We ask that all parents and adults please keep noise and chat to a minimum during the entertaining and adventures. We have found in the past that as some parents are chatting at parties, it becomes very distracting for the children and the entertainer, and can be very difficult for the children to hear what the entertainer is saying.
6. You are responsible for providing party food and setting food out on the table. You are also fully responsible for the children during food time.

Cake: We decorate the cake with our own decorations. These decorations are themed and are our property. Please note that all re-useable cake decor is kept by us before the cake is cut. If you would like a cake with decor that you can keep (depending on what decor is available) then the price will increase.

By hiring “A party to talk about” you agree to these terms and conditions
